Ballet and Books
I have seen The Nutcracker over 100 times. This is not an exaggeration. As the sibling of a ballerina, an actual ballerina, I have seen my sister dance in almost every role over the last 20 years. This year she performed with Pages to Pirouettes, a local group that puts on free shows for local communities, including preschools and senior centers. Last week, my parents and I went to watch her perform at the Free Library of Philadelphia, which was a treat both because I was able to see Erin entertaining so many small children (and giving them a little lesson afterwards!) and because the building is so beautiful.

What I Did This Weekend
This weekend, my sister and I visited Phoenixville, where I've never been, even though it's less than 40 minutes away. Which is pretty silly, since it's an adorable little town, full of non-stop pretty, most of which I did not photograph, because I was too busy gawking. We went because one of her friends opened a dance studio, and the group they both dance with held an open class to mark the occasion. This means I got to play with my camera while they all danced. And then we ate some lunch and wandered around the quaint little town, looking in shop windows and jaywalking. It was a lovely Spring Saturday.
